The Mother-Daughter Movement: Walking in Faith, Focus and Fire

By: Nariyah Ari

Greetings Sacred One:

What is the foremost thought when your daughter is born? Does her life ground you? Is the purpose for your life as well as hers established? Some say, when a mother carries a child another version of herself transcends the first. The Mother and Daughter bond is now on the campground of legacy. The love that fills the heart cannot be expressed in words and the journey has begun with faith, focus, and fire. There is wisdom that comes from the ancestors that
guide our way through the challenges. The fire that burns within us is the warrior, the fight that we press forward to provide the faith and focus for the next generation.

When it comes to learning about ADHD – Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, difficult circumstances can try to take residence in the dynamic of the vision of our daughters. We may be infiltrated with various behavioral, cognitive, and mood of our daughters and the frustration that no one is recognizing that help is needed. When it comes to girls with ADHD, they are perceived as being lazy or not focused. Unfortunately, not realizing that attention difficulty, impulsiveness, fidgeting, anxiety, difficulty focusing, and hyperactivity to name a few is blocking the advancement that our daughters may have. Faith is more than just an expression it is hope and trust that the vision is manifest into the intended purpose. ADHD is defined as (By Understood) one of the most common neurodevelopmental disorders of childhood. It is usually first diagnosed in childhood and often lasts into adulthood. Children with ADHD may have trouble paying attention, controlling impulsive behaviors (may act without thinking about what the result will be), or be overly active. Even with this definition, it does not define our daughters and we as mothers must give back to our daughters. We can teach them to focus on the positive aspects of themselves and put their best foot forward to grasp what they need, have faith that they will find their purpose, and maintain encouragement walking through the fire. Let us live each day knowing that we are in the palm of purpose and that the Mother-Daughter Movement is a bond that will never be broken or end.

Living in Creative Difference.
